Curriculum

We follow the Diocese of Arlington curriculum guidelines. Teachers design lesson plans that implement these guidelines, but are geared to the particular needs of the students. Schools in the Diocese of Arlington operate on trimesters.

In addition to the Diocese curriculum guidelines, Nativity provides an integrated STEM focused curriculum beginning in kindergarten. Middle School students (6-8) participate in our 1:1 Chromebook program.  All classrooms K-5 are outfitted with a Chromebook for each student.  The students use iPads, Activpanels, Chrome tablets, touch screen computers, and document cameras throughout the school day. Additionally, students learn coding, robotics, engineering, and participate in hands-on problem-based activities in the classroom to enrich the diocesan curriculum.
