Application Process

Nativity Catholic School builds a vital community of faith by recognizing that its ministry incorporates a three-fold dimension: God’s message, Christian fellowship, and service to the community. The school strives to accomplish this through the celebration of liturgy and shared prayer, sacramental preparation, religious instruction, school/parish fellowship opportunities and the incorporation of Christian virtues into all areas of the curriculum and school life.

Application

To begin the application process, complete the online Diocesan Application for Nativity Catholic School. In addition, complete and return the forms listed below to the School Office for review (these may also be returned via email or mail):

Supporting Documents

The online application will ask you to upload the following documents so please have them prepared before you get started:

  • Original Birth Certificate (original must be presented to the School Office for proof of identity as part of the admission requirement; a copy should be uploaded with the application)
  • Baptism Certificate copy
  • Current Immunization Record/VA School Entrance Health Form

When applicable, please be prepared to include:

  • IEP Information
  • Custody Agreement

Application Fee

An application fee of $50 per child is simultaneously due with your application. Fee may be remitted in person when original birth certificate is presented to school office or mailed to 6398 Nativity Lane Burke, VA 22015.

**Applications will not be processed without receipt of the application fee. Please note, this is not a registration fee

When are applications due?

Nativity will begin accepting applications in February of 2021

What’s Next?

Once your application has been reviewed, your family will be notified by an official letter. If your child is accepted, he or she will temporarily be placed on the class roster. Permanent roster placement will occur upon receipt of registration fees.

In May, a “Welcome Packet” with further details will be mailed to your family. In August, all of our school families will receive a school packet before the start of the school year regarding uniform, school supplies, school forms, etc.
