Read-A-Thon

The Nativity Catholic School PTO is proud to announce our 4th annual Nativity Catholic School Read-a-Thon fundraiser from Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 17, 2024. The goal is to foster a love of reading that will last a lifetime. The funds raised from this event will go to the subscription renewal of our school’s EPIC digital library (giving students access to over 40,000 books). We hope EVERYONE participates and has FUN!

Read-A-Thon: March 4 through March 17

Dress Down Days During Read-A-Thon:

  1. March 4: Pajama Day and bring favorite book
  2. March 7: Read with your Buddy Day (matching shirt color with buddy class)
    • 8th and 2nd – Red shirt
    • 7th & 1st – Blue shirt
    • 6th & K – Green shirt
    • 5th & Preschool/Pre K – Yellow shirt
    • 4th & 3rd – Purple shirt
  3. March 14: Dress as Favorite Character

1st Tier (Most minutes read for upstairs grades 4 – 8 and downstairs K – 3)

  • $25 Dollar Book Fair Certificate
  • Dress Down Day (March 21)

2nd Tier (Top student per grade – minutes read)

  • $10 Dollar Book Fair Certificate
  • Dress down day  (March 22)

3rd Tier (Overall Class with most minutes read)

  • Dress down day  (March 26)

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHALLENGE: Free Chick-Fil-A Day for those who participate (April 10)
Guidelines:

  1. Class with 80% class participation
  2. Participation means – being signed up on your Read-A-Thon account and
  3. Each participant must have read the equivalent of 4 hours over 2 weeks.
