The Knights of Columbus Scholarship Program is offered by the Fr. Vincent Sikora Council, Council 7992, of the Knights of Columbus to promote and support Catholic elementary education opportunities. The scholarship program is funded through donations to the Church of Nativity Knights of Columbus, which is administered by its officers. An award of a one-year full tuition to attend the Nativity Catholic School, will be given to one student.
The application is open to current and new Nativity Catholic School students entering grades K-8th during the next school year. Emphasis will be placed on need. Scholarship assistance is awarded without regard to race, color, gender, national origin or creed.
To be considered for the scholarship, the application and supporting documents must be hand-delivered or postmarked on or before April 1st, 2019.
Frenchy Cyr Memorial Scholarship
Father Vincent S. Sikora Knights of Columbus Council No. 7992 will award six Knights of Columbus,Clarence “Frenchy” Cyr Memorial Scholarships in memory of the Council’s Charter Grand Knight.
These six scholarships, of $1000 each, for Catholic secondary school education tuition will be awarded to the son or daughter of registered parish members or the son, daughter or grandchild of Council 7992 members who best exemplify the traits of perseverance, effort, and contribution to his or her community.
Six scholarships were awarded in 2018, and six will be available in 2019. One scholarship will be awarded to the eight-grade student with the highest score and has been designated the Simon C. Kralik Memorial Scholarship; all entrants, including eight-grade students, will compete for the remaining scholarships.

Applicants must meet these three requirements:
- The applicant must be a registered member of the Nativity Catholic Church in Burke Virginia; or a daughter or son, or grandchild of an active member of the Fr. Vincent S. Sikora, Knights of Columbus Council No. 7992.
- Entry is limited to 8th-grade students who will attend Catholic secondary (high) school during the 2019-2020 academic year.
- The scholarship award may only be used for Catholic secondary school tuition.
