CYO Basketball | Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Exciting News—Calling All Basketball Coaches!

Nativity Stars Basketball needs you for the Arlington Diocese Northern Virginia Catholic Youth Organization (NVJCYO) Basketball League 2022-2023 season! 

Player registration opens in late September, for children that attend Nativity School or Religious Education classes.

Volunteer Coaches Needed

We currently need a volunteer assistant and head coaches for 3rd-8th grade boys and girls teams.

The weekly coaching commitment is usually one 1.5-2 hour practice per week and a weekend game, plus any administrative work (team rosters, uniform/gear pick up, communication with parents).

Volunteer Requirements

Coaches have to be Nativity parish members, but are not required to have children playing on the teams they coach.

Prospective Nativity NVJCYO coaches have to complete a Child Protection Compliance background check and VIRTUS training (scheduled & hosted by Arlington Diocese).

Concussion Training | Please complete the Coaches Training prior to starting practices, here.
